Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) is the only school district in the city of Albuquerque, with over 85,000 students in attendance on average. Over 70 private or parochial schools also service the educational needs of the community.
Colleges and universities are also in abundance. Twenty-five public campuses statewide provide on-site postsecondary education services, including universities, community colleges and technical schools. Satellite offices allow students in smaller communities and locations to receive the benefits of higher education.
