Home inspections are designed to disclose observable property defects that may affect safety, suitability for living and resale value.  An inspector's job is to identify defects in a property, report these as accurately as possible, and recommend the best way to remedy these defects.

Your inspector will evaluate all visible building components, including electrical systems, heating and plumbing, fireplaces, built-in appliances, drainage conditions and more.  Structural framing, attic construction, insulation and ventilation are just a few of the things your inspector will be examining.  The entire house will be covered, from foundation to roof.  Cosmetic concerns are not addressed during a home inspection.

Safety concerns are explored in detail.  Any homebuyer should be aware of concerns stemming from electrical wiring and fixtures, fireplaces and chimneys, gas fixtures, staircase and deck railing and so forth.

An experienced inspector will also provide valuable suggestions for preventative maintenance.
